Flushing clean drinking water down the toilet has never made any sense but that's what we do. Other countries, like Japan, have sinks over their toilets which at least supplement the flush tank with gray water from washing hands. In Thurston County do we have anyone specializing in installing grey water systems or is this always some sort of unsupported DIY project?
A greywater recycling system, which reuses water from household sources such as the bath, washing machine, and sink. The greywater is collected in a storage tank, where it undergoes filtration through a coarse filter and a sand/reed filter for initial cleaning. A pump moves the filtered water to a UV disinfection unit for further purification. The treated water is then used for non-potable purposes, such as flushing the toilet and supplying an outdoor tap. Any excess greywater or unfiltered water is directed to the sewer system for disposal. This setup conserves water by recycling it for secondary uses.

This whole thing is a sign of how lacking in leadership we are in America today. Clouse shouldn't have had a relationship with someone who was a county worker and should probably reflect on how if she had caught fire in a county commissioner meeting none of the other Commissioners would've pi**ed on her to put it out. Three of the Commissioners shouldn't have voted to suspend her before findings on the matter. Menser's decision to not attend the executive session that voted her suspension was a spineless move. Mejia's pearl clutching while "person of color" spokeswomaning from top of the pyramid of the oppressed was eyerolling political theater. Fournier & Edwards snickering on the sidelines doesn't show them to be of any merit whatsoever. I'll give the benefit of the doubt to whomever made the allegation until findings are released, but if it is as "unsubstantiated" as they say it is, I'll be thanking them for showing us how terrible the leadership is here while also encouraging them to grow up and stop wasting everyone's time.
The whole thing is ridiculous. When that complaint was made, one of the Commissioners should have taken it upon themselves to talk to the person who made the complaint, talk to Clouse, determine the facts and come up with a solution that both parties would have to agree to. Solving it in an afternoon. This should be the type of skills that all of the Commissioners should have. The fact that none of them could deal with this quickly and easily is sad, petty, political bs.
Could Commissioner Clouse’s suspension be decided in court? Her attorney says it might An attorney for Commissioner Emily Clouse said her client may take legal action after a motion to lift her suspension failed Tuesday.
