July has been a hard month over here. We had two adopters lose their horses within a couple days of each other (no not anything we did or didn’t do) just older horses who were ready to cross the rainbow bridge.

It never gets easier getting these calls or messages, especially when one of the horses boarded with me and I spent time with him every day and the other horse belonged to my best friends daughter-

However, this is a part of life and I just want to give a big hug and thank you to those that open their hearts to an older horse, never knowing what the outcome will be- whether it’s months or years, loving these older guys is so easy (they make it easy) but losing them hits so hard.
