We had a fantastic turnout of 24 players at Longhorn Chess Club's Wednesday Swiss #26!
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make another successful Wednesday tournament. It's great to see our chess community continuing to grow each week!
π° **June Grand Prix is Underway!** π°
Every Wednesday tournament in June counts toward our monthly Grand Prix standings:

1 point for each win
β
Points accumulate across all June Wednesday tournaments
At the end of the month, the top three players will share the Grand Prix prize fund:
π₯ 1st Place β **30%** of all June Wednesday entry fees
π₯ 2nd Place β **20%** of all June Wednesday entry fees
π₯ 3rd Place β **10%** of all June Wednesday entry fees

We had an amazing day with 85 players competing across four sections, making for a fun, competitive, and exciting event.
Congratulations to all the winners on their outstanding performances! And a big thank you to every participantβevery game played is an opportunity to learn, improve, and grow.
Special thanks to Anjali Soni, our Tournament Director, for running a smooth and fair tournament, and to Vijay, Ashok, Krishna, and all our volunteers for their valuable support throughout the day.
This event once again showed how rapidly our chess community is growing, with more players, stronger competition, and greater enthusiasm at every tournament.

Starting in June, our Wednesday tournaments will follow a new Grand Prix points format!
Players will earn points from every Wednesday tournament throughout the month, with all points combined toward the monthly Grand Prix standings.
π Grand Prix Points System
β’ Participation: 1 point each tournament night
β’ Performance: Up to 3 additional points (1 point per win)
π° Monthly Cash Awards
Prize money will be based on total player participation.
Cash prizes will be awarded in both sections:
π₯ First Place β 30%
π₯ Second Place β 20%
π₯ Third Place β 10%
Play consistently, score points every week, and compete for the monthly Grand Prix titles!
