When was the last time you checked your website on your phone?

Not a screenshot. On your actual phone, scrolling through it like a visitor would.

More than half of your visitors are on mobile. And most websites that look great on desktop have at least one thing that's broken, cramped, or just plain weird on a small screen.

Text that's too small. Buttons that are hard to tap. Images that are cut off or stretched.

Pull up your site right now. Check your homepage, your services page, your contact form.

If something looks off, that's your next fix - not a new font, not a new color palette.

Mobile experience is a ranking factor AND a trust factor. Both matter.

If your email opt-in says "sign up for updates and news" - that's why it's not converting.

Nobody wants updates. Nobody wakes up thinking "I really hope someone sends me a newsletter today."

They want something specific. Something useful. Something that solves a problem they have right now.

"Get my free checklist" converts. "Join my weekly tips for solopreneurs" converts. "Download the free guide" converts.

The difference between an opt-in that sits there ignored and one that actually builds your list is almost always the offer. Make it specific. Make it valuable. Make it obvious what they're getting.

Let's talk about lead magnets, because if you've been seeing that term everywhere and nodding along without fully knowing what it means, this one's for you.

A lead magnet is a free resource you give someone in exchange for their email address.

A checklist. A guide. A template. A mini training. A quiz. A free chapter. Anything that's genuinely useful and can be delivered instantly.

The idea is simple: your ideal client wants something, you give it to them for free, they give you their email address, and now you have a direct line to them that doesn't depend on an algorithm.

Launching your website is the exciting part. What comes after? That's where most small business owners get stuck.

WordPress needs regular updates to stay secure. Plugins conflict. Themes need maintenance. Backups need to happen before something breaks, not after.

Most people ignore all of this until something goes wrong. By then it's usually a $1,000+ emergency instead of a $25/month habit.

A website care plan is the thing that keeps your site fast, secure, and ready to book clients while you focus on literally everything else.

Details are linked in bio, and yes, there's a plan for every budget.

53% of mobile users leave a site that takes longer than 3 seconds to load.

Your clients aren't sitting at a desktop waiting patiently. They're checking you out between school pickups, Zoom calls, and late-night scroll sessions. If your site lags, they move on. Probably to someone with a slightly faster site.

One lost booking a week at $300 is $15K a year. Not because your offer wasn't right. Because your homepage took too long to show up.

The fix is simpler than you think — link in bio.
