Last week we did a “Materials Test” with an old draft of the mural. Northeast Digital Imaging based in Salem, NH will be printing the digital mural and installing it at the Stadium. We joined them to see how the materials would adhere to the wall. Join us for the dedication ceremony on Friday August 19th at 6pm too see the completed final mural at Lawrence Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The MVCSC is beyond grateful to have such a dedicated AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Volunteer to take on this task. To end AmeriCorps Week, we saved the best for last. Meet Ernestine, celebrating her 22nd year as a AmeriCorps Senior Foster Grandparent, and over 30 years of experience volunteering in education! Fun fact about Ernestine is she is a retired Navy vet. She worked as a civilian for the Navy for 13 years before retiring, and then began volunteering. Ernestine loves volunteering with the kids, and even gets recognized by her past students years later. We thank Ernestine and all of our amazing AmeriCorps members for all that they have done and continue to do in the community.
