The members of the Lawrence Fire Department are deeply saddened by the passing of Lieutenant Jim McLachlan, a proud Lawrence native, dedicated firefighter, and longtime president of Methuen, Local 1691.

Jim was a true friend of the Lawrence Fire Department and someone who always brought energy, laughter, and a positive outlook wherever he went. Over the years, he proudly marched with us in many of our St. Patrick’s Day Parades, creating memories and friendships that will stay with us forever. His personality was larger than life, and he was genuinely loved and respected by so many throughout the fire service and our community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jim’s family, friends, the members of the Methuen Fire Department, and all who had the honor of knowing him.

Rest easy, Jimmy Mac. Your friendship, service, and spirit will never be forgotten.

Come on down and have some fun while support a great guy!
