Angel used to react, connect, and seek interaction. Now, after years in captivity, she swims the same endless circles, breaking the pattern only for food and training.
That is not care. That is confinement.

A seaside sanctuary would not erase what captivity has done to Wikie and Keijo. But it could give them a life without shows, crowds, and breeding. Another tank is not the answer.

Two orcas. One mother and son. A lifetime in captivity. Now Wikie and Keijo may be sent from Marineland to Loro Parque, an “animal embassy” that still keeps orcas in barren tanks, uses them in shows, and could fold them into its controversial breeding program, creating even more non-releasable orcas.
