Is Weight Loss Really 80 Percent Diet and 20 Percent Exercise?🤔

YES and our client Rachal is proof of that! 😎

When I first spoke to Rachal she had been attending Orange Theory for the past 2 months but was not seeing any results.

When I asked her about her nutrition she said she wasn’t following a structured plan but she was doing her best to eat somewhat healthy.

And there it was… the reason why she was not seeing results. Her focus was backwards.

She was doing 80% exercise and 20% nutrition.

I see many people make this mistake all the time.

They think “If I do hours of cardio everyday or start going to a boot camp, I’m going to lose weight”
but they’re often disappointed when they don’t.

Nutrition is the most important aspect of losing weight and ill explain why below.

They 🔑 to weight loss is achieving a negative balance, or taking in less calories than you burn.

To lose 1 pound you need to achieve a 3,500 calorie deficit.

So if you follow the 80/20 ratio you want to burn approximately 750 calories through exercise and cut 3,000 calories through dieting.

The reason why focusing on nutrition is way more effective is because it takes a great deal of activity to create a BIG deficit through exercise. 😰

Now that doesn’t mean you should quit your one hour workout class. A sweat sesh combined with a nutrition program will give you dramatic results.

The bottom line is, you can lose weight without exercise, but you cannot lose weight if your nutrition counteracts your energy expenditure through exercise.

Who was that girl back then?😱

I can now look in the mirror and not put myself down the way I use to!
