With the Texas State Board of Education's sweeping efforts to push Christian teachings into public education, including the newly approved mandatory K-12 reading list that forces public school students to read specific Bible passages, and the state-incentivized Bluebonnet Learning curriculum being adopted by major districts like Houston ISD, we know many families are deeply concerned about state overreach.

Texas public schools are systematically blurring the line between church and state, but you do not have to let them compromise your family’s religious freedom.

Thanks to the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in Mahmoud v. Taylor, public schools cannot legally force your child to participate in an instructional curriculum that violates your sincerely held religious beliefs. The highest court in the land has made it clear: you have an absolute right to opt out.

The Satanic Temple’s Satanic Representation Campaign (SRC) is actively finalizing specific opt-out resources and frameworks to help Texas families push back against this unconstitutional overreach.
