In 2008, Karrie fulfilled a longtime dream of travelling to Reggio Emilia, where she spent a month studying with educators from all over the world. Karrie brings a unique sense of style and an exceptionally creative approach to educational experiences. She thoroughly enjoys blending four of her greatest professional passions (movement, dance, storytelling, and child development) to enhance all types of learning. Stories on the Move is a highly innovative and completely unique play-based movement and dance class, designed by Karrie Korroch, to encourage physical fitness and well-being for young children. Stories on the Move incorporates the art of storytelling, the principles of the Nia Technique, and extensive study of the importance of play to get parents and children moving, laughing, learning, and playing together. This class offers something for everyone! Using themes to enhance imaginative play, movement choices, and creative visualization, each class features: interactive movement-based stories, puppets, instruments, music appreciation and education, guided and creative movement, attention to body awareness, dance and martial arts concepts, yoga, cooperative play and dances, and singing, all seamlessly woven into a whole lot of magical movin' and groovin' fun!
