The Heat, Humidity and Haze couldn’t stop
the Food Truck Festival in Jackson.

Several Food Trucks were on hand at the Jackson County Fairgrounds/Keeley Park offering everything from tacos, hamburgers, ribs and more.

Picnic tables were set up and the American 1 Event Center was opened to offer relief for those outside.

This just shows when you have great food people will be there even if the weather isn’t the best.

Thanks to those who came to support our wonderful food truck owners.

It’s all about the animals, “Blooms and Brews.”

An afternoon of food, music, beer and wine tasting all to raise money for the Cascades Humane Society and its animal shelter.

There was also a ribbon cutting ceremony for The Rainbow Bridge, a walkway to help pet owners who have lost pets.

It’s a memorial place to remember your pet and process the grief of losing them.

You could meet pets to adopt, shop at several art vendors and listen to music from Steve and Brian Tucker and Phil Wrzesinski.

All proceeds go to the Cascades Humane Society for medical care and other services for the animals.

Those who fought for our independence should always be remembered and honored.

A special historic marker for Revolutionary War Patriots buried in Jackson County was unveiled at Withington Park in Jackson.

The Sarah Treat Prudden Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution dedicated the marker.

Our Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 109
Posted and retired the colors.

Our veterans are so wonderful and I love seeing them at our military and veterans events.

Thank you to Daughters of the American Revolution for honoring our Revolutionary War heroes in our community on this 250th birthday year for our country

Free food, games and an up close look at fire trucks and police cars, what a fun way to spend an afternoon.

It was the second of the Summer Safety Series put on by the City of Jackson Police and local Firefighters.

The kids were having so much fun and they were learning information on how to stay safe.

These are such great events because they give our kids a chance to meet and talk with our police and firefighters up close in a friendly environment.

The kids were showing me some of the books they received with safety information and other
good things to know.

Thank you to our law enforcement for taking the time to engage in these activities in our community.

We appreciate all our police and firefighters
and support you in every way.

The next Summer Safety Series event is August 19th at Loomis Park.
