I’ve been caring for this orchid since I returned to SDoL in April 2023—watering it, pruning it, changing the chips, making sure it had what it needed. I moved it twice, hoping for growth, but nothing changed. Then came the third location, and something about it clicked. Now, it’s both blooming and dying at the same time.

But I don’t mind the dying—I understand what it took for it to bloom.

Life lesson: When it feels like nothing in your life is growing, when everything around you seems stagnant, maybe it’s not you. Maybe it’s your environment. Change where you are. Change who you’re around. Shift your mindset. Yes, parts of you may have to die—old habits, old ways of thinking—but only to make room for something beautiful. And when it finally blooms, you’ll know it was worth it.
