In real estate we have this concept called, âhighest and best use.â Itâs all about the most profitable way a property can possibly be used.
For you and your needs, that property could be your main residence, but for someone else, it could be a lucrative rental investment. Without knowing the proper valuations of both, you could be leaving LOTS of money on the table.
Make sure your realtor is well versed in both residential realty and rental business, and youâll never have to worry about selling yourself, or your property, short.

Remember last week when I was SO EXCITED about the spooky staircase photo I found? LOOK AT THIS. LOOK AT IT. This is a staircase in a house showed over the weekend in Lake Orion, MI.
We didnât originally have photos of the staircase and the second the listing agent and I saw it we knew it had to be highlighted.
So why am I telling you this? Because when guests (or buyers) are looking at photos, you want to lead with the one that stands out. What makes your property unique? Whatâs your hook??
Also, because I can now be your buyers agent through KW Metro in Royal Oak.
But really, staircase for sale. Home comes with it, I guess.

How to know youâve been ridiculously busy helping people build their short-term rental businesses -
1. Your Instagram is barren. Truly barren, you cannot even remember when you made your last post.
2. You realize, while sitting and waiting for the home decor shop to open, that you are now in a very fancy neighborhood, in your slippers.
Blessings upon the people at and for making such fantastic clothes that I could still pull off this look.

This will begin my series on âsometimes the help you get from customer service is not exactly helpful.â
The teams at Airbnb are working hard but donât always have the answer. Thatâs why all good hosts and Airbnb managers need to know the platform and technology so well that they can create their own work arounds.
I had a longer post for this where I switched the booking settings, but it turns out just having the guest send it through again was the reset we needed.
Think of this as the - âDid you try turning it off and then turning it on again?â
