The bike lanes on West Bayou Parkway, which form part of the Mickey Schunick bike loop, represent a major step forward for Lafayette. Currently, there is a small opposition working behind the scenes to remove the bike lanes, which would threaten the loop and diminish the connectivity we fought hard to create. Thriving cities across America are adding bike lanes, not removing them. We need to protect our streets. We need to continue moving Lafayette forward.

Y’all! How awesome was yesterday?! Thanks to all of the volunteers for making it happen, and thanks to the Lafayette community for being you. The love was certainly felt as this ride grows with each passing year. Thanks to BikeLafayette and The Wurst Biergarten for their support, and thanks to the Judice family for the amazing jambalaya.
