Thomas “Jeff” Cook’s career in real estate began when he was laid off from Corporate America for being among the best sales associates. The company eliminated commission-based sales agents, instead paying
them an hourly wage. From there, Jeff began to work as an independent agent with the goal of opening his own small business where people could thrive in a safe, goal-oriented company and be rewar
ded for honesty and hard work. Shortly after entering real estate, Jeff began to establish a team and started Jeff Cook Real Estate.
2003 - Jeff Cook Real Estate was founded when Jeff graduated from both the University of South Carolina,
with a Bachelor’s in Business, and real estate school within the same week.
2010 - The first Jeff Cook Real Estate office opened in Summerville.
2011 - Jeff Cook became the #1 residential resale agent in the Charleston, South Carolina market (non-
REO and non-new construction) and still holds that title today!
2012 - Jeff Cook Real Estate made the top 100 teams in the country and was awarded the KinderReese
Exponential Growth Award.
2013 - Jeff Cook Real Estate opened an office in West Ashley and was awarded the Executive Producer
Award by Entrepreneurs International Foundation.
2014 - Jeff Cook Real Estate was awarded the Telly Award, NAEA Commitment to Excellence Award and
the NAEA Ultimate Marketing Award.
2015 - Jeff Cook Real Estate was named one of the top 50 teams in the country. Jeff split from Agent
Owned to establish Jeff Cook Real Estate as an independent brokerage. Jeff Cook Offers was launched as
a sister company to Jeff Cook Real Estate that helps people who are not able to sell their homes through
the traditional real estate method.
2016 - Jeff Cook Real Estate opened its second West Ashley office, Mt. Rent
Holy City, a full-service property management company, was launched.
2017 - Jeff Cook Real Estate was named the #27 team in the nation. Sales offices were opened in
Greenville and Columbia.
2018 - Jeff Cook Real Estate was named the #16 team in the entire nation, Jeff was awarded the Forty
Under 40 Award, and Jeff Cook Real Estate was awarded Top 25 Fastest Growing Companies in the state.
2019 - Jeff Cook Real Estate was named the #10 team in the entire nation and awarded Top Workplace in
the state by Integrated Media Publishing. A new sales office was opened in Rock Hill.
2020 - Jeff Cook Real Estate was named the #11 team in the entire nation, awarded Top Workplace in the
state for the second year in a row by Integrated Media Publishing, and was ranked in the top 0.01% in the
nation by Inc. 5000. A new sales office was opened in Myrtle Beach.
2021 - Jeff Cook Real Estate was ranked in the Top 25 Mega Teams nationwide for the third year in a row,
awarded Top Workplace in the state for the third year in a row by Integrated Media Publishing, ranked in
the top 0.01% in the nation by Inc. 5000, expanded flexible commission plans, and launched a team based programs allowing agents to create their own teams.
