Rick Anderson is a multi-talented musician and singer who plays a total of 23 instruments. He is currently touring with County Music Hall of Fame member Jimmy Fortune of the Statler Brothers. Rick has a very tasteful and unique way of implementing several instruments in one song. His musical talent has entertained folks of all ages as he switches between his fiddle, pedal steel guitar, mandolin, b
anjo, electric guitar and acoustic all while singing background vocals. Rick started his musical journey playing bass guitar on studio sessions starting at the age of 12 and since that time has played on hundreds of recordings in the gospel and country music field. Since then he has traveled the United States with multiple groups, recorded multiple albums. He has had the privilege of playing on stage most recently with Multi Grammy winner Vince Gill along with Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers. He has also backed and shared the stage with artists from all genres such as Wilson Fairchild, T Graham Brown, Dailey and Vincent, Steve Wariner, Ronnie McDowell, David Frizzell, Cody Purvis, Merle Haggard, Oak Ridge Boys, Billy Ray Cyrus, Little Big Town, Marty Stuart, Travis Tritt, 38 Special, Charlie Daniels, Sammy Kershaw, Confederate Railroad, Gavin DeGraw, Saving Jane, Styx, and Gospel greats Dottie Rambo, Vestal Goodman, Jason Crabb , The Browders... just to name a few. In 2001, Rick was honored to perform for former President of the United States, George W. Bush. In 2008, Rick performed at the National Republican Convention with Nashville Country Artist Trey Hensley. Although Rick currently resides in Kingsport Tennessee, he works out of Nashville quite frequenty while touring on the road with Jimmy Fortune as well as other artist.
