AI didn't predict the earthquake. It helped people survive it.

During my recent television interview, we discussed how Google's Android Earthquake Alerts demonstrated something much bigger than a new technology.

They showed what happens when artificial intelligence is used to solve real human problems.

In this case, millions of Android devices acted as a distributed sensor network, helping detect seismic activity and providing precious seconds of warning before the shaking reached many people.

Five seconds may not sound like much.

For someone inside a building, those five seconds can mean the difference between staying in harm's way and reaching safety.

This is why I believe we need to change the conversation around AI.

Too often, we focus on what AI might do in the future. Meanwhile, it's already helping save lives, improve decision-making, and solve problems that once seemed impossible.

The real challenge isn't whether AI will change our world.

It already is.

The question is whether we will learn to understand it, guide it, and use it responsibly.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to spend the next few months speaking with professionals, business owners, students, legal practitioners, and public sector leaders about one topic that continues to reshape how we work:

Artificial Intelligence.

Each organization has a different audience and a different objective, but I keep hearing many of the same questions:

• How do we get better results from AI?
• How do we use it responsibly?
• How do we move beyond experimentation and into real-world implementation?

I'm looking forward to learning from these conversations and sharing practical approaches that help people use AI with more clarity, confidence, and purpose.
