This is such a cool project! The Heritage Commission is one of many City boards and commissions. If you're local, this is a great way to get involved! City of Keene
The Keene Heritage Commission presents an interactive story map exploring the heart of Keene’s historic Italian neighborhood — an area once home to generations of Italian families who built community, culture, and craftsmanship around Island, Pearl, and West Streets. Through the crowdsourced story map, residents uploaded their memories, photographs, and oral histories so that the neighborhood’s rich past becomes a living part of our city’s story. Join us in celebrating the people, places, and heritage that continue to shape Keene. Learn more about the project and view the story map on the project website at https://arcg.is/GSWGL

Dear Community,
We are here for you if you are struggling to get enough food. It does not matter if you receive assistance from another program, such as SNAP.
If you do have a SNAP card, please note the dates of the distribution that is happening at the Department of Public Works the next four Saturdays. Please bring your NH SNAP card to receive a box.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call us at (603) 352-3200.
I'm two years into a four-year term. As City Councilor, I've learned that collaboration is one of the most important considerations in choosing a candidate.

Election day is almost here!
Keene’s Municipal General Election will be held on November 4, 2025. In addition to voting for City positions, there will be two questions on the ballot.
The first question is about Keno. The question asks whether Keene should prohibit Keno games from operating in the city. A YES vote means you are in favor of prohibiting Keno in Keene. A NO vote means you are in favor of allowing keno to operate under State Lottery regulations. If the majority vote Yes, Keno will not be permitted in Keene. If the majority vote No, licensed retailers may offer Keno beginning June 1, 2027.
The second question is about Social Districts. The question asks whether the City should be allowed to create these districts. A YES vote means you are in favor of allowing the City Council to establish social districts—designated outdoor areas where alcoholic beverages purchased from participating businesses could be consumed. A NO vote means you are in favor of prohibiting social districts in Keene. If the majority vote Yes, the City Council may create local rules and boundaries for any district in accordance with State law.
