The KICC
Many of our indigenous people will celebrate the coming holiday weekend in their own cultural ways. Our Anishinaabe tradition is the Ghost Supper. Please be respectful - everyone - to those who are different than you! Take this time to learn about each other instead of fighting with each other.
This is why our indigenous people can never make any progress anywhere we go!
Our ancestors know this game. It's the same as it has always been. It's a good thing I'm not my ancestors!!
I can vouch for this nonprofit in case anyone wants to donate. When all the emergency services and major nonprofits start to leave once the immediate emergency situation has been addressed - Robin and her church will still be there on the ground, working with and helping the locals in need.
Please know where you are donating and where your money is going if you do. There are going to be a lot of scams showing up again like we see after every major disaster. I want to make sure everyone knows this isn't a scam - Robin & her church are associates of mine and The KICC and we share common goals in our missions.
Chi miigwetch to Robin and Church of the Earth for all you do to help during times such as these. My prayers are with you all!
