The Grade Elf has always been one of Santa's favorite helpers. He does his best to motivate children to do their best in school by simply acknowledging their accomplishment. Whenever a young student brings home good grades or improves, it is important to show them attention and congratulate them. Creating an environment where their hard work is appreciated does not only cause more good grades to
follow, it also makes them feel special. The Grade Elf will help children understand the value of hard work. Young minds have powerful imaginations. Imagine, as a child, you receive a letter from Santa's helper to congratulate you on your performance and to let you know that Santa will be very proud to hear about it. The excitement that comes to mind... The joy that you feel... The overall satisfaction that takes over... These all happen because your imagination is vivid. A child creates connections between those feelings and their performance. When to use The Grade Elf? There are many times throughout the year to surprise your student with a letter from The Grade Elf. The trick behind it is...DON"T BE CONSISTENT. A letter from The Grade Elf should come as a surprise and should not be an expectation. Some events to consider are:
