Authors are protesting Amazon's e-book policy that allows users to read and return Authors say readers are exploiting Amazon's seven-day return policy by using Amazon like a library and returning books after reading them.
Why it pays to be organized, and to keep things forever: just heard from an editing client I'd last worked with 14 years ago! She wants to resume work on her book manuscript. Luckily, I still had the edited manuscript with my notes and the continuity worksheets to send her.

So sad to hear of the passing of fellow cat writer Carole Nelson Douglas. Met her at my first-ever Cat Writers' Association conference, and we bonded instantly! A legend in the business, author of the Midnight Louie series of mystery novels, she was also friendly, personable, and welcoming. A great loss!
