🚨 GBC Secures Free-to-Air Broadcast Rights for FIFA World Cup 2026 in Ghana

Ghanaians will be able to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup on free-to-air television after the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), with support from the Government of Ghana, secured the exclusive terrestrial broadcast rights for the tournament.

To ensure nationwide coverage, GBC has formed a National Broadcast Consortium involving several television stations licensed by FIFA through New World TV and GBC. The initiative is aimed at giving every Ghanaian the opportunity to follow the Black Stars and the world’s biggest football event from home.

GBC has also warned that any unauthorized broadcasting, streaming, public viewing, or commercial distribution of World Cup content will attract legal action.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
