Pulling from many influences of yesteryear, the group comfortably finds itself sitting amongst successful acts of the current times like; Tedeschi Trucks Band, Beth Hart/Joe Bonamassa, and Gov’t Mule. Hailing from the Northeast Florida area, it’s easy for the music to take on a very soulful, southern rock sound. Perhaps it’s in the air they breathe, or possibly in the water they drink, or maybe ev
en the soil where the bands roots are so deeply planted. Regardless of their fortunate geographic location, the sounds produced are something that the band does not shy away from, nor take for granted. With a very tight and groove-filled rhythm section of Ivan Pulley playing the bass and Sebastian Stuto on drums, their synergy lends itself to the soulful and expressive sounds of Michael Calderin on guitar. This ensemble gives singer, Melissa Smith all of the confidence and foundation needed to allow her passionate and powerful vocals to soar effortlessly while making a believer out of any listener. Wildfire Rising has had the honor and opportunity to be the halftime performers for the 2017 National Arena League (N.A.L.) The band has performed for thousands throughout the Summer/Fall of 2017 at the Jacksonville Landing for various events and sold-out outdoor Concert Series. Wildfire Rising will continue to spread to audiences in the Southeast and beyond, while looking forward to finishing up their debut album in the studio for the Fall of 2017.
