Downtown Jax First Thursday Merchant Fair

(JACKSONVILLE, IL) Kelsi Simmert Barbknecht and Kelly Jones are proud to announce the Downtown Jax First Thursday Merchant Fair. The kick-off of the market season will begin on April 3, 2025, in downtown Jacksonville. It is held on the first Thursday of April, May, June, and August from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the heart of downtown Jacksonville.

This event will bring together shoppers, food trucks, and local businesses for an evening of fun and connection. Whether you specialize in handmade crafts, vintage finds, local produce, or food truck fare, this is your chance to showcase your products and connect with the Jacksonville community while working with our brick-and-mortar businesses.

“Each business is partnering with a vendor to have inside their business or right outside of their brick and mortar,” said event co-organizer Kelly Jones. “Not to get this event confused with the last years Central Park Market, this will not be a vendor street event, but rather an event where our businesses stay open later while offering an individual vendor option at each business if they choose to have one.”

“Downtown Jax First Thursdays are about more than just shopping,” added Kelsi Simmert Barbknecht. “They’re a celebration of the community—the people who live here, the businesses that thrive here, and the artists and makers who bring their talents to the square. It’s a place to reconnect, support local, and enjoy the unique charm of downtown Jacksonville.”

Vendor spots are now open for both indoor and outdoor spaces, ensuring the event will go on rain or shine. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
