โ๏ธ Talk with your kids about curfew, and decide how often they should check in
โ๏ธUtilize location-sharing apps to our child. If you are using a location-tracking app, be honest about it. Explain that itโs a tool for safety, not a lack of trust
โ๏ธKnow where your kids are and who theyโre with
โ๏ธEstablish rules about parties, gatherings, and sleepovers
โ๏ธSet expectations for social media and phone use
โ๏ธMake sure your child always has a safe ride home plan
โ๏ธKnow the parents of your childโs friends whenever possible. Having their contact information in your phone is essential for emergencies or quick plan changes.
โ๏ธKeep communication open. Kids are more likely to follow rules when they feel heard.
Starting these conversations early builds trust and sets the tone for a safe and fun summer ahead!
