1997 – HERITAGE

Paul W. Klipsch is inducted into the prestigious Engineering and Science Hall of Fame, an honor shared by Thomas Edison, George Washington Carver, and the Wright Brothers. The ESHoF recognizes those who have improved the quality of the human condition through an individual contribution, using engineering and scientific principles. Shortly after, the term “Heritage” is coined by the Klipsch marketing team for PWK’s original loudspeakers – including the Klipschorn, LaScala, Belle Klipsch, Cornwall, and Heresy. The moniker differentiated the product line from the company’s expanding multi-channel offerings. Klipsch Heritage Series means the product was based on PWK's legendary designs, and hand-assembled by proud craftspeople in Hope, Arkansas – where we've been making quality audio since 1946.
