Thank you for inviting me to represent Community Food Box Project at . This month was the featured guest and she spoke about her life, career, and passions. Half of ticket sales were donated to Community Food Box to help us continue our mission. So excited to keep making connections within the city and be creative in how we support each other!! 🩵✨

This lady right here!! A hidden gem. Alesha Taylor, otherwise known as ART, serves on our Board of Directors, and has been working hard (and consistently!!) in the Indy food justice space for many years. Her leadership and mentorship has guided me through so many spaces, places, and situations. She knows the Indianapolis Food Policy landscape like the back of her hand.

She serves as Chair of Indianapolis Food Advisory Commission— a group of stakeholders/leaders who make policy recommendations for our city. She is also a founding member of the Community Food Access Coalition. The coalition will be tabling at our fundraiser this year, so you all will have a chance to talk with ART and understand a bit more about why Community Food Box Project partners with policy advocates!

We love you ART and the many leaders making things happen with little recognition. There are so many grassroots leaders doing the work inside their own communities! Please take some time this week to find out who those people are in your circles and THANK THEM!! 🩵
