ASPBP is excited to continue its 2026 Designing Discovery series with our next webinar: "The Making of a Physician: Science, Humanities, Advocacy, and Health Equity" on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 2:00 PM EDT
Join us with Kaliris Salas-Ramirez, PhD (Rutgers – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School) as she explores how pipeline/early assurance programs can move beyond traditional premedical enrichment models to develop future healthcare professionals who are scientifically prepared, community-centered, and grounded in health equity and humanities. Using the innovative curriculum developed for the RWJMS Summer Early Assurance Program (REAP) as a framework, participants will discuss strategies for integrating anatomy, neuroscience, narrative medicine, professionalism, advocacy, and experiential community learning into pathway programs for historically underrepresented students.
