Hello from 2026! 👋

I can't believe it's been 2 years since I closed up the shop, but I just can't keep quiet anymore. I'm ready to share what I've been working on!

For many years, Slipped Stitch Studios was my creative home. Together we built an amazing community around knitting, crochet, handmade businesses, creativity, and making beautiful things.

What some of you may not know is that I've ALWAYS been a little obsessed with organizing and making creative spaces functional and beautiful. Now I can bring those skills directly to you!

When we last saw each other, I was designing organizing tools for makers, creating systems for creative businesses, rearranging spaces, color-coding things that probably didn't need to be color-coded, and generally trying to make life work a little better.

Over the last couple of years, I've been building something new: Simple Clean with Laura Jean.

Through professional organizing and Holistic Home Coaching, I help people create homes, studios, craft rooms, and creative spaces that support the life they're trying to build, looking at both the space itself and the habits, routines, and challenges behind it.

Basically, I help people create spaces that function better, waste less time, stop losing things they have to rebuy, and make more room for creativity and everyday life.

It doesn't hurt that I also have a pretty good eye for interior design and repurposing what you already have, so you don't have to break the bank trying to reinvent your space.

To be honest, this path wasn't one I saw coming. It's something that grew naturally out of the work I've already been doing for years, and eventually I realized it deserved a home of its own.

So if you're sticking around, here's what you can expect from the renovation:

Organizing tips, home resets, virtual coaching, before-and-afters, encouragement, practical solutions, and probably the occasional yarn-related distraction.

And don't worry. The crafty creativity and snarky jokes are still included in the full Laura Jean package.

In a lot of ways, this feels like the natural evolution of what has always inspired me: helping people make space for what matters and enjoying the journey along the way.

It's a lot like the art projects I used to help you protect and organize... but now it's LIFE! 😍
