Vantage Hospice salutes Sarah Moreno!

At 3 months old, our first child stopped breathing. As I watched a huge team of healthcare staff work feverishly to save his life, I knew I wanted to join the medical field. A year later, we brought home a newborn and he also stopped breathing, thankfully an amazing team stepped in quickly to save his life. I knew my calling from God and my passion to serve others was clear. I took a double stroller with 2 kids on apnea monitors to register for night classes (when my husband would be home with the babies) to become an EMT. I worked several years on a 911 ambulance and knew I wanted to expand my medical career. My dream of becoming a holistic nurse became true when I was accepted to the University of St. Thomas. I've been an RN for over 5 years and have worked in Oncology, Hospice Management and now enjoy the flexible schedule of float nurse at Vantage Hospice. I am amazed daily at Vantage's teamwork, high employee morale and kind spirit as we seek to serve our beloved patients and their families through mind, body and spirit. At Vantage, we understand the beginning of life is just as important as the end of life. We take great care to preserve dignity and ensure our patients and families know they are loved and supported.
