It’s been a HOT minute since I’ve done one of these so I figured I’d change things up a bit today & share some of my booksta besties you should totally be following 😘❤️

It hurts so bad 😭😭😭
Umm was I expecting this dystopian read to have me feral & flying through it? Absolutely not. Was I absolutely foaming at the mouth not just for this story, but for the MMC, the plot, the twists and turns, absolutely 100% yes.
To Cage a Wild Bird took me by complete surprise and I’m here for it. This was my first dystopian read since the Hunger Games and it did NOT let me down. This book is a dystopian romance about a bounty hunter who will do anything to protect her brother, including getting herself arrested at the prison where the elite are allowed to hunt and ☠️ the inmates FOR FUN. Yes. You read that right.
Not to mention the MMC, Vale, had me feral. 🥵 We not only got a touch her and ☠️, we also got a “who did this to you?” And a “good girl” moment. Can we hear it for the author for a second 👏👏👏 Truly I think Vale may have joined my book BF list.
This book had me on the absolute edge of my seat the entire time & had so many wild and crazy moments. I truly could not put it down. I cannot wait to see what happens in book 2 which comes out February 2027… which I don’t know how I’m going to be able to wait that long 😬🔥

It’s meme Monday yall 💜✨
This book completely took me by surprise & honestly I enjoyed every bit of it.
It had everything I love:
✨ Touch her and ☠️ energy
✨ Hidden magic and secrets
✨ Deadly trials
✨ A sort of love triangle
✨ He falls first and hard
✨ A really hard healing journey that honestly reached parts of me I didn’t even realize needed it.
And the yearning??? It truly gave me Wuthering Heights level…but make it fantasy. Some of the things this MMC said had me 🥵 (no spoilers but, the bath tub scene!) And the love triangle?? I’m still not even sure if that’s what to label it, but it was excellent. Both MMCs brought that fierce, protective, touch her and ☠️ energy and choosing between them felt impossible.
Azhara was such a strong FMC. What she endured was heartbreaking, and her story goes to some really dark places, but watching her fight her way through it all especially navigating that toxic, twisted relationship with her father was incredibly powerful. It hurt to read at times, and was really gut wrenching, but there was something deeply healing in it too.
The trials were so well done. Fast paced, intense, and honestly addictive. And we got a little taste of some cool magical creatures/demons too which was fascinating. This was truly one of those books I didn’t want to put down and enjoyed every minute of!
Overall such an immersive, emotional ride. Dark, intense, and unexpectedly healing. I’m grateful to have been an ARC for CJ & so glad I picked this one up!

Talk about feeling so loved and spoiled for my birthday! My bookish garden party was an absolute hit & truly one of the most fun parties I think I’ve had in awhile. A special thank you to all of my amazing friends who took the time out of their weekends and busy schedules to make time for lil ol me 😭😂🥹
I wanted this party to be full of thought & intent. From the handmade place cards & goodie bags for my friends, to the bag charm crafts, I truly couldn’t have imagined a prettier & more fun bookish garden party! We snacked, we had girl time, and craft our hearts out.
