HCONS Members: Don’t forget:
The Houston Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society is offering four competitive Spring scholarships for colleagues interested in the care of patients with cancer. Each $1,000 scholarship will be awarded in June to two undergraduate, one MSN student, and one student pursuing a DNP or PhD. HCONS membership required to apply. Please note individuals cannot receive the same award more than once (i.e., BSN scholarship, MSN scholarship, or DNP/PhD scholarship). However, as you advance in your educational journey you can reapply to receive a scholarship at the next level:
Application requirements include:
A paragraph about your interest in oncology nursing;
One letter of faculty support. Must be from the program where you are currently enrolled. Please submit online at: Academic Scholarship Faculty Letter
The deadline for submission is May 6, 2026 at midnight. Scholarships will be awarded at the June HCONS Membership Meeting.

HCONS MEMBERS:
HCONS will be having 1 membership meeting this month on April 22. If you were able to join us for a March membership meeting, you are not eligible to RSVP for this April meeting so that we may accommodate more HCONS members. We are encouraging attendance every other month to allow additional colleagues to attend.
Please submit one form per person to be added to the RSVP waitlist. HCONS Programs Committee will be managing the RSVP waitlists for eligible participants.
