2023 POOL INFORMATION
Pool to be open Memorial Day, Labor Day and Juneteenth hours to follow the Tuesday through Saturday schedule. The pool will be open for Monday holidays and closed the following Tuesday. Pool is to be clean and ready for swimmers at opening time. We ask that you check your email each day prior to going to the pool to ensure the pool is open in case there was an emergency for closing.

The Official 2023 Pool Schedule will be sent out by eblast and posted at the pool prior to May 6, 2023.

NEW POOL CARD PROCESS FOR 2023
We are pleased to announce that we are ready to issue the new pool cards for the 2023 pool season.
In an effort to make it easier for you to receive the cards the Board has approved for two (2) representatives from FirstService Residential to be on site to hand out the new pool cards to pre-registered residents.

We will be onsite at the entrance into the pool house the following dates and times:
Friday, April 14th from 5:00PM to 8:00PM
Friday, April 28th from 5:00PM to 8:00PM
Saturday, May 6th from 9:00AM to 12:00PM

To help streamline the process we have attached a copy of the pool form for you to fill out and email or mail back to the Shared Services Team. Once received the Shared Services Team will issue two (2) pool cards per household as requested on the attached form.

If you wish to pick up your cards, please bring valid photo identification. If you would rather have the card(s) mailed to you please note that once we send the card(s) to USPS we cannot guarantee delivery and there may be additional fees involved if once sent to USPS and they fail to deliver them.
At this time we will only be issuing two (2) cards per household and the pool will open on May 6th at 10:00AM and the lifeguards will not be letting anyone into the pool area for the 2023 pool season and a pool card will be needed to gain access.

Please note, if you have an outstanding balance on your account you will not be issued a card(s) until your account is paid in full.

Once we have the pool schedule finalized for the 2023 calendar year we will send it out via eblast.

TRASH/RECYCLE SERVICE UPDATE

Best Trash will be the new trash and recycle service provider for Harris County MUD 196 beginning Saturday, October 1st. Trash pickup will be Wednesdays and Saturdays, these days were the only pickup days available for now, we may switch back to Tuesday and Fridays in early 2023. Backdoor pickup and heavy trash pickup will continue to be offered, you will only need to bring your recycle bin to the curb on trash days.

The last pickup day for Texas Pride will be Friday, September 30th. We are working with WDM and both service providers to work out logistics to pick up the black Texas Pride bins and for Best Trash to deliver new red recycle bins. This may take some time as they need to pickup and deliver bins for all MUD 196 communities, including Alder Trails, Barker Lakes, Riata Ranch and Riata West.

There will be no impact or increase in your water/sewer bills, the District manages billing and account information with the trash companies. Once Best Trash starts up service you can contact them for service questions and issues or you can contact WDM, the operator for the District.
