Few experiences offer a better view of the importance of offshore oil and gas production than a trip to a producing platform.
During a recent tour of our Holstein platform, members of Congress saw firsthand how operators produce vital resources that advance U.S. energy security. The bipartisan delegation, hosted as part of House Majority Leader Steve Scalise's annual Offshore Energy Tour, toured the platform located more than 100 miles off the Louisiana coast in 4,000 feet of water.
The trip also coincided with our announcement of an oil discovery at the Bandit prospect, underscoring the continued importance of the Gulf of America as a strategic source of domestic oil supply that supports long-term energy security.
