So here’s the real story, when we went to New Orleans I was a bag of nerves. I don’t think we had ever performed out of state. In this year we did it twice. It was exciting and nerve-racking and I thought it was going to be horrible, because that’s what artist do, I just kept thinking the worst.
When we got there it was humid and it was raining and it was one of the worst weather experiences the jazz fest ever had, but we took it in stride. It was one of the best shows we’d had. The humidity was like honey for my throat and magic for my hair. We had so much fun. The best part is after the show we got to actually enjoy New Orleans. My BGV KilaJae was experiencing New Orleans for the first time, and the laughs and the memories and the tons of inside jokes we get from that trip are priceless. I hope one day we get back there.

Oh KMonte Allen there is so much to say. Today is his birthday and I celebrate him. He is my friend, my big brother, a creator, innovator, visionary, dreamer oh I could go on and on and on, but I won’t.
Love you big brother and the example you are in my life. Just wouldn’t be the same without you.
