What a wonderful two days of 3D Science Learning with Paul Andersen with our elementary teachers and coaches! Teachers actively figured out science phenomena, asked questions and showed their best thinking through drawing models. In addition, they planned and conducted their own investigations and communicated their ideas by engaging in argumentation!

Eighth grade students from Wright Junior High spent the last 2 days atLong Acres Ranch studying Northern Bob White quail inside and out. We are very appreciative of all the volunteers and support from Texas A&M, 4H, Lamar Educational Awards Foundation (L.E.A.F.), and LAR that helped make this happen!

We set another record!! Today, we transported 1,048 steelhead trout to the Guadalupe River (Canyon Lake area) and released them to their new home. This is all part of the Trout in the Classroom program sponsored by Trout Unlimited. All 6 Lamar CISD high schools participated this year for the first time! Randle High School came out on top this year with 321 trout hatched, raised, and released. We are grateful for the amazing teachers and students who worked hard to make this happen.
