Watching you evolve from dad to Nonno has been so wonderful. Thank you for the gardening tips, home improvement projects, and for answering my daily (occasionally multiple) calls. You are so loved by the entire family!
I would have guessed 20% đź’€. What about you?

Rosalie Kay is 3 years old today! It just feels unreal to me that my youngest child is no longer a toddler.
Rosie is such a funny girlie. She refuses to speak to her teachers at school, but is happy to give her family a piece of her mind (spoiler alert: it isn’t usually kind). She is obsessed with potty talk…she often seeks opportunities to use the words “poop”, “pee”, “butt” and their derivatives. She has learned the term “cry baby” and gleefully called me one during an emotional moment (shockingly, it did not help my emotional state).
Aside from potty talk, her other favorite word is “no”. She loves saying no so often, that even when she wants to say “yes” it often sounds like “ness” (because she prematurely assumed it was gonna be a no from her).
I would say that Rosie is similar to a sour patch kid candy: sometimes sour but also sometimes sweet. She often checks on her siblings when they are upset; refills the cats’ dry food bowls (to the delight of our chonky kitties); will randomly tell us she loves us; and still enjoys a good “chest nap”.
Every morning we awaken to her in the middle of our bed, but we don’t usually mind. Unless she decides to be wide awake at 4:30 (which has been happening a few times a week). This child is also a screamer. Actually I don’t feel like that accurately describes the sound she is able to make. It is more like a dog whistle…painful to the ear.
She recently started gymnastics, and I think that she will be great at it! She’s a little monkey who loves to swing on bars, jump on trampolines, and climb structures. She’s very physically daring, not afraid to take risks in an effort to keep up with her older siblings.
More than anything, she loves her siblings. Constantly wanting to play with them, be near them, and watch them. She’s an animal lover and loves being outdoors, where she can also get dirty.
Even with the screaming and the name calling and the early wake ups, we love this girlie so so much and wouldn’t trade her for the world. We love watching her grow, but also wish that time could slow down a teensy bit!
with duuuvall my 4 year old might have thoughts though 🤣

My Yankee heart is overflowing this week! I am so glad that my Texan kiddos had the chance to experience a SNOW DAY with their family. It felt like we were living in a snow globe yesterday. So many firsts…first snow angels, first time touching and tasting snow, first time building a snow man, first time having a banana split. So much quality time spent building legos and puzzles together. I hope that they always remember the joy of their first snow day ❄️.
Replying to clarkgetscrafty that is so impressive! Who else has done this?
🍿 you are NOT the father!
Sending hugs to those who are having a hard match season this year. Youre not alone and you will get through it
