As she states, "I have always had a passion for learning and sharing about the power of community and economic empowerment, and this opportunity combines all of those interests! As we continue our review of our Project Management Day of Service Project we want to introduce the nonprofit that we served. The organization is called Women On The Rise International, Inc. and it was founded in 2016 by Arlene Blake who desired to create a safe space that women can learn and empower one another.

Going through her own personal challenges, Arelene learned the power of community and intentional personal growth. Women on the Rise focuses on financial literacy, career development, entrepreneurship, and health and wellness for underserved communities.

Choosing the correct nonprofit to serve was very important to the team. We wanted to ensure that our time and talent would support a cause that we believed in.
