From the time I was in high school, I loved to decorate. I always bought used furniture or accedpted hand-me downs out of necessity in my younger days. Before I knew it, it was out with the new and in with the old. I no longer liked new furniture and that is how Chic it Simple was developed. I am a floral designer/manager for Pappas Restaurants by day and on the weekends and nights I like to work

There are people who inspire you to dream a little bigger… and my sweet friend Melissa is one of them.
I am SO proud of her for being featured on Homeworthy! Her home is absolutely beautiful, and every room reflects her creativity and heart. It is so fun to see someone you know living out a dream.
Watching this reminds me why I love design so much. One day, I’d love to open my own front door to a Homeworthy camera crew and share the story behind “The Kiki Effect.” Until then, I’ll keep creating spaces that bring joy.
