Q. Is scalp micropigmentation a tattoo? A. Absolutely not! Tattoo artists use different tools and permanent ink. A tattoo needle works on the lower (deeper) part of the dermis; Scalp Micropigmentation works on the upper part of the dermis. Tattoo ink can change color (blacks can turn bluish/greenish, etc.). With temporary Scalp Micropigmentation that fear is eliminated. SMP artists go through a specialized training program focused exclusively on Scalp Micropigmentation -
