Story Time From Space, with support from CASIS, will send children’s books & demonstrations to the International Space Station. While in space, astronauts will videotape themselves reading books to the children of Earth. The videos will be edited and placed in the Story Time From Space library. New readings coming soon!
We have, not one, but THREE awesome new videos on the way! Steve Bowen, who recently returned from the Space Station, read "Totality!" by Jeffery Bennett in preparation for the October 14, 2023 annular eclipse and the April 8, 2024 total eclipse. "Totality!" features a unique combination of rhyme and science that makes it suitable for a wide range of ages. Steve did a reading with a "Kinesthetic Astronomy" demonstration for little kids and then did a deep-dive science reading for our older kids. Plus, we have an eclipsed based Science Time From Space demonstration from the ISS! Can you tell we are excited!? Will you and your students be watching the eclipse?
