Another in the 📚! Special thanks to the team at AND as well as the surgical team at for helping me get this patient started on his road to dental health and recovery. This is a case of extensive periodontal infection that caused a massive amount of bone loss. It was a challenge to get an occlusion that was 🎯, but believe it or not - it was. The maxillary immediate denture is an Ivorian denture that I designed on (with some assistance from Kene from Ivoclar). The mandibular is an acrylic partial denture that literally “Popped” into perfect place (thanks to Wade and his team). After the swelling, I will add some characterization to the upper denture because the tissue shade was not dark enough. I think we need to encourage our dental manufacturers to give us a little more diversity on tissue shades - not everyone is pink. 😉. We may even bleach the remaining teeth to get them to match the new teeth a little better (you can’t bleach the yellow part of the roots though”. Once again - makes the patients Smile and Dental Dreams work!!
