This was an interesting one... shot on the Isle of Skye at Elgol Bay. It may look serene, but this is thanks to a long exposure across the very rough chop of an incoming tide. The blue tint came from the LEE Big Stopper filter I had in front of the camera (think “opaque black sheet of glass) that let us slow down the exposure.
HUGE thanks to my younger brother David for getting soaked, helping keep the front element dry-ish, and the tripod upright during all this extended session in the surf. I’m including a couple clips dug up from the shoot in my story today, so check it out!
What’s the worst shooting conditions you’ve suffered through? I’m hoping I’m not the only fool out there embracing such misery! 😂
