He was amongst the top 24 chosen singers from all over the country, carefully selected by the judges of the show namely Hadiqa Kiyani, Bushra Ansari & Ali Azmat.

#Theatre
Before Pakistan Idol, Ahad performed in a Musical play called Lovengers directed by Usama Qazi, at Karachi’s Arts Council. His performance was a combination of singing, dancing and acting, altogether a package later favorably reviewed by Dawn. Andhera Ujala produced by superstar Shan Shahid was another landmark play where Ahad performed a dual role in the re-adaptation of PTV’s famous play with the same name.

#Television
Ahad’s television debut was from Farwa ki ABC, a light comedy play which aired on A-Plus in 2015. The TV serial was directed by renowned music Video/TVC director Sohail Javed, and starred Khalid Anum, Sonia Hussain and Irsa Ghazal. While his role in Farwa ki ABC was of comic nature, his next appearance as an actor on television was rather somber. Under Yasir Nawaz’s direction, the Urdu 1’s Tum Kon Piya was one of the highly rated serials of the year. The TV serial aired in 2016 and starred Qavi Khan, Aiza Khan and Imran Abbas. Previously, Ahad had also performed in several television commercials such as TCS, English Toothpaste and National Foods.
