We're fortunate to have Renaissance Faires and a Website as our primary sales platforms,
But we are striking in solidarity with artists/crafters/small businesses around the world who have been forced into Etsy's “offsite ads” program, and have absolutely no control over when or what is advertised- They just take 12% of the purchase price.
Who have been forced to offer “free shipping” in order to be included in Etsy's search results.
Who have been forced to compete with the giant corporations who rip off our designs and undercut our prices.
Now, as makers worldwide are dealing with increased prices on materials and global supply chain shortages, Etsy is choosing to raise their fees on sellers.
Yet another decision showing Etsy’s loyalty lies with their stockholders and not the community of crafters that made them so profitable.
Please think about delaying your Etsy purchases this week to send a message to the company. (then go shop and support your favorite artists next week because that's important too!)
Much love and thanks to our loyal customers for your support!
Please find us at [email protected] with any questions about items normally sold on Etsy.
We hope to hear from you directly.
