Hey Texas homeowners 🐝
Have you noticed wasps flying in and out of the same spot this week? Maybe near your garage, along the roofline, or around the patio area?
May is when wasp nests start forming in Texas. A nest that’s just getting started is much easier to treat than one that’s been building for a few weeks, so catching it early really matters.
Wasp nests are usually in places you don’t immediately check, under eaves, inside garage openings, beneath deck boards, or behind shutters ☝🏼 By the time you notice consistent movement in the same spot, the nest is often already established.
A few things to keep in mind:
🚫 Wasps become defensive when they feel the nest is threatened, so keeping your distance is important
👀 They tend to follow the same flight path in and out, which can help you identify where the nest is without getting close
⏰ Early nests are much easier to deal with, and waiting even a few weeks can make a big difference
