🌟 Celebrating Juneteenth and Honoring a Remarkable Design! 🌟
Juneteenth is a time to honor freedom, culture, and history. This year, we are especially proud to celebrate Prairie View A&M senior Amaya Moss, whose stunning logo design for Juneteenth Houston marks the holiday’s 160th anniversary.
Moss, who is double majoring in architecture and construction science, has beautifully captured the spirit of Juneteenth with her logo, featuring bold colors and African-inspired patterns that symbolize strength, heritage, and unity. The design reflects Moss’s passion for storytelling through visuals and her commitment to creating environments that make people feel “seen, safe, and proud.”
Her logo, which includes the words “Celebration,” “Emancipation,” “Freedom,” and “Community,” embodies the essence of Juneteenth, celebrating the moment freedom reached every corner of the South.
Congratulations to Amaya on her well-deserved $500 prize! Your creative vision honors not only Juneteenth’s significance but also the vibrant culture of Houston and the legacy of those who fought for freedom and opportunity.
