These photos; if you can imagine - Houston in 1999.

For 3 wonderful years, Houston was graced with the monstrous CART Champ Cars.

These race cars were an almost eerie modernization of the 1980's F1 turbo-beasts. This was my childhood, and what a treat this was to a young aspiring driver. I was fortunate to attend all 3 Grand Prix.
