Still smiling from this one. What a beautiful 3 days at the .
We were one of the very few retail vendors invited, and honestly, it was one of the most joyful events we’ve been part of in a long time. Huge thank you to the kiddos for including us and for showing up for us the entire festival; bringing snacks and water, helping with the muscle work, watching our tents, and just being so kind and on top of everything. You made the whole experience feel easy, warm, and full of heart.
And a big thank you to our vendor neighbors too for watching our tent when I needed to step away, for being so lovely, for the freebies, and for keeping us alive and awake with that unbelievably good horchata sesame seed coffee!
It’s rare to leave an event feeling this cared for. We loved every bit of it. Thank you for having us 🤍 Cannot wait for next year! ❤️🤍❤️🤍❤️🤍❤️

Vendors, we’ve been talking a lot about booth fees lately, but let’s also talk about what feels acceptable and sustainable for you. What would a fair middle ground look like between organizers and vendors? One idea that came up in the comments was a hybrid model like $75 base fee + 10% of sales capped at $500. That way vendors aren’t crushed by high upfront fees, organizers still benefit when vendors do well, and there’s a clear cap so no one is punished for strong sales. Curious to hear your thoughts; would something like this feel fair to you for the larger halal markets? Let’s figure out a middle ground that actually works for everyone. Chime in on the comments.

“What’s the catch?” God.
“Why are you doing all this for vendors?” God.
“What do you actually get out of this?” God.
“Why aren’t you turning this into a paid course?” God.
“Why give away strategy?” God.
“Why risk annoying organizers by telling the truth?” God.
“Why help people who might end up as your ‘competition’?” God.
“Why are you opening doors you had to kick down alone?” God.
“Why bother building a path for vendors you don’t even know?” God.
“Why keep pouring into a community that doesn’t always pour back?” God.
“Why do you still care when it would be easier not to?” GOD.
