Due to the political climate (tariff wars), our country is experiencing significant movements in the stock/equities market. Our 401ks are becoming 301ks. This is why we need to diversify our portfolios, as throughout our lifetimes many factors can cause the market to shift drastically. Times like this is why I have products in fixed incomes that allow me to “sweat out” these bad times, because the interest rates are guaranteed. Imagine- when the market is down, we don’t want to touch our accounts. When the market is up, we don’t want to touch our accounts either because we want to let them ride out the good times. The fixed products I own will allow me to be my own “banker” and take out funds as I need them, now and in the future.
